I started off as a volunteer for the Books, Board Game and Bonding Program and this fueled my passion for the project! Through this I learned how valuable it is for young people and elderly individuals living in homes to be in contact with each other. I believe the Amity Program can make a significant change in elders lives through our dedication to limiting isolation for these individuals.

I joined the Amity program in my freshman year of high school as a volunteer for the Books, Board Games, and Bonding Program. Upon immediately fostering special relationships with so many of the residents, I continued to attend the BBB for the following three years. From hearing their stories, engaging in heated games of pingpong, and seeing the joy in their faces when we arrive every Sunday, I have increasingly become passionate about helping the senior citizens feel valued, loved, and respected. I am ready to help grow the Amity Program to the best of my abilities, and I am excited to see its future and success in increasing intergenerational bonding worldwide.
